CEPPA’s Cover to Cover Reading Group reads a well known book in moral and political philosophy “cover to cover” in a clear and distinct schedule. The aim is to gain a deeper and more systematic understanding of the arguments in a concise time period.
In the past we’ve read Rawls’s Political Liberalism, Kamm’s Almost Over, and Kagan’s Limits of Morality and How to Count Animals. In autumn 2021, we’re reading Stangl’s Neither Heroes nor Saints, and Enrico Galvagni (eg240) will be the convenor. In spring 2022, we’re reading Quong’s The Morality of Defensive Force, and Joel Joseph (jj73) will be the convenor. Meeting days/times will be arranged to fit around the schedules of committed members.
