Haldane Prize

The Haldane Essay Prize in Philosophy and Public Affairs is an annual competition open to all St Andrews undergraduates. Administered by the Centre for Ethics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs (CEPPA), this competition awards £250 to the best essay that applies philosophy to a matter of public concern. It is named after CEPPA’s founder Prof. John Haldane.

Submissions usually open in June and the winner is announced in August.
